
John Morreale III

John spent most of his life in New York City before relocating to New Jersey. Feeling called to serve others, he entered the funeral profession in 1994. He completed his mortuary education in 1996 and became a licensed Funeral Director in 1997. Over the years, John has gained extensive experience in all aspects of funeral service, including traditional and non-traditional funeral rites, with specialized expertise in cremation arrangements. Having had the privilege of serving thousands of families, John is known for his attention to detail, compassionate nature, and warm, comforting presence. Dedicated to both his profession and his family, John has been married to his wife for 23 years and is the proud father of four wonderful children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and playing golf.

Joel Schumacher
Licensed Funeral Director
Born in Washington State, Joel has lived in the New York City area for the past 25 years. He joined our firm in 2002 after attending and graduating from the American-McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in Manhattan. He served his residency and has spent his entire career as a funeral director for the past 20 years with our firm. Joel brings a quiet dignity and sincerity to all he serves. His genuine demeanor and humble manner make everyone he meets feel comfortable and at ease. Joel has been married for 21 years and has two children.

Janice Phillips
Licensed Funeral Director
Janice earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Rutgers University. She then attended and graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in 2017. She was recruited by our company in 2018 and served a one-year internship with us before becoming licensed as a New York State funeral director in 2020. Janice is a good listener, conveys a quiet compassion for everyone she serves and is completely dedicated to assisting our clientele with a meticulous commitment to competency and communication.

Jared Oswald-King
Resident Funeral Support Staff
Originally from rural Pennsylvania, Jared moved to New York City in 2008 with additional moves in between the years within California, Louisiana, and India. He graduated from the American Academy of McAllister Institute in Mortuary Studies in September of 2022 and is currently serving his one year residency to become a licensed funeral director. Jared is interested in all aspects of cremation and funeral service and especially values the privilege to serve families during a unique and often difficult experience in their lives. Currently living in L. I. City, Queens with his husband Chris and two cats, Jared aims to provide families a warm, safe, and welcoming environment to best honor both the loved life lost and those left to share their legacy.

Peter C. DeLuca, the president, has dedicated his entire professional career to funeral service in Manhattan, where he also resides. An established member of his community, he understands the elevated standard of trust and professionalism that is expected. With that in mind, Peter trained and developed a specialized team of licensed cremation professionals to assist you and carry out the cremation process in a way that provides total peace of mind. Our staff collectively has over 75 years of experience. We are independently owned which enables us to provide these services at an affordable and sensible cost.
